Education:

Biography: 

Rick Caughman earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in advertising design and illustration from the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California in 1982. He began his teaching career in 1983 at Chaffey College and the La Sierra campus of Loma Linda University. Over the years he has taught studio drawing, painting, illustration, figure drawing, logo design/brand development, digital media design and layout and other subjects as an adjunct professor or guest lecturer at numerous colleges and universities in the Inland Empire.

Rick has designed and created artwork for a host of commercial clients including Los Angeles World Airports, Apple Computer, Omnitrans, Celestial Seasonings, IUCN the World Conservation Union, Ontario International Airport and the Claremont Colleges. Commissioned works include art in public places for the Greater Ontario Convention and Visitors Bureau and Los Angeles World Airports.

Rick has solo-exhibited extensively at galleries and museums throughout Southern California, as well as curating numerous exhibitions.
