Saturday night, 3-0.
The Panthers got goals from Dean Sewitz,
Dalton Sweaney and Matt
Prouty.
The Golden Eagles finish the season with
a record of 4-12-3.

LSU AGAIN.........
The Golden Eagles was defeated Sunday afternoon
by Cal State
East Bay 4-1. La Sierra University
(4-11-3) goal was scored by
Alexandre Schmidt at 66:56 minute on an
assist from David Trevino.
LSU next game( the last of 2008 season)
will be Saturday, November
1st @ 8 pm against Chapman University in
Orange, California.

OT TIE.........
La Sierra University (4-10-3) went into
double overtime to finish with a
1-1 tie with Soka University Sunday evening.
David
Trevino scored the Golden Eagles only goal.

ON NORTHERN CALIFORNIA TRIP.......
La Sierra University Mens Soccer Team had
3 tough losses in the Bay Area
this past weekend. LSU ( 4-10-1 ) lost to
Cal State East Bay, 2-0 , Academy of
Arts University, 2-1 and UC Santa Cruz,
1-0.
The Golden Eagles next game is Saturday,
October 18th against Academy of
Arts University at home. Game time is 7
pm.

Cal State San Marcos shutout LSU (4-7-1),Sunday
afternoon in San Diego
4-0. The Cougars had 300 people in attendence
at the game.

FIRST WIN OF THE SEASON GIVING LSU THEIR
1ST LOSS......
University of La Verne defeated La Sierra
University 3-1 yesterday afternoon.
La Verne's sophmore forward Hector Lepe
started off the action with a goal at the
24th minute,
putting the Leos ahead 1-0 at the first
half.
Golden Eagle freshmen forward Titus Cannon
scored off a header from a free kick
from junior
Carlos Trevino at the 88th minute. La Sierra
(1-1) was only able to score
once, despite taking nine shots in the contest.
Leo's Angel De Alba scored on a corner kick
and Joseph Valencia scored on a break
away assist from Benjamin Van Klesch.
La Sierra next game is Wednesday, September
3rd against San Diego Christian
College in San Diego @ 3pm.

Goalkeeper, Steven Uribe had 3 saves as
he blanked the Eagles
from the Desert of Arizona.

John
Munoz is entering his 4th year as Head Coach
of the La Sierra University Mens Soccer
Team.
Our
depth and experience will be the key component
for a successful season this year. We want
this
team to represent this institution well,
in our effort on the field and our intelligence
in the classroom.
Our
goal is to play an entertaining style of
soccer that when people come to watch us
play, they'll want to come back and see
us again.
La
Sierra opens the 2008 season at home Saturday,
August 30th against Southwestern College
from Arizona at 8 pm. The Golden
Eagles will play some of the area's tough
power teams like Vanguard University, Chapman
University, University of La Verne ........
Some
of the top returners will be the Trevino
brothers, (Carlos and David), the Fargo
brothers, (Bashar and Bassam), Sergio Rubio
and Stephen Uribe .
