	APRIL 11, 2008 RIVERSIDE, CA.- THE POETS WINS A CLOSE ONE AS LSU SEASON ENDS........ The Golden Eagles end their season losing 5-4 to Whittier College Friday afternoon. #2 doubles team of Thinisha Rao and Niiang Mung dominated their opponents, Christa Rain- ville and Brenda Santana by the score of 8-3. #2 singles player Niiang Mung won her third match in a row and fifth of the season beating Emily Friedhoff, 6-1,6-1. Vanessa Cerna-Carmona revenged a loss two days earlier to Megan Wingo and beat her easily this time by the score of 6-2, 6-2 closing out her last match of the season with a big win. La Sierra finishes their season with a record of 1-9. APRIL 10, 2008 RIVERSIDE, CA.- HOPE INTERNATIONAL DEFEATS THE GOLDEN EAGLES......... The Royals of Hope International University defeated La Sierra Thursday night 9-0. LSU next match is Friday, April 11 at 1:30 against Whittier College @ home. APRIL 8, 2008 WHITTIER, CA.- THE POETS DEFEAT THE GOLDEN EAGLES 7-2 La Sierra was defeated by Whittier College Wednesday night 7-2. LSU only victories was # 2 singles player,Niiang Mung win over Emily Friedhoff (4-6, 6-3,10-4) and # 1 doubles team of Rebecca Roquiz & Niiang Mung over Jen Piggot & E. Friedhoff (8-4) The Golden Eagles next match is Thursday, April 10 against Hope International University at 6 pm. @ home. APRIL 1, 2008 LA MIRADA, CA.- THE EAGLES FROM BIOLA BEATS LSU AGAIN....... After four cancelled games, the Golden Eagles took the court again only to lose 7-2 against Biola University. At the #1 singles position, Rebecca Roquiz defeated Biola's top player Christine Garner 3-6, 6-4, (10-5). Roquiz lost to Garner in their last match by the score of 6-2, 6-2. This was Roquiz first win playing in the #1 singles position . At the # 2 singles position, Niiang Mung straight set victory was her first match win at that position. Mung lost to Nicolle Johnston in her previous match by the score of 7-6, 3-6, (10-5). This time around Mung defeated Johnston 6-1, 7-6. This was Mung first win when she had to win by a final tie-breaker in the last set. LSU next match is Wednesday, April 8 at Whittier College @ 6 pm. MARCH 4, 2008 RIVERSIDE, CA.- LA SIERRA LOSE TO THE EAGLES OF BIOLA UNIVERSITY....... The Golden Eagles (1-6) was defeated Tuesday night by Biola University 9-0. Though the overall score does not indicate it, great competitive matches were played in both doubles and singles. LSU next match is Thursday, March 13 @ home against Western New Mexico University at 6pm. FEBRUARY 29, 2008 THOUSAND OAKS, CA.- CLU DEFEATS THE GOLDEN EAGLES 6-3...... Cal Lutheran University defeated LSU Friday afternoon 6-3. The Golden Eagles (1-5) bright spots were Rebecca Roquiz 6-3,6-1 win over Kate Dehmer, Thinisha Rao win over Kate Downey, 1-6,6-0,6-2 and Niiang Mung victory over Eila Olmstead 6-2,2-6,6-3. La Sierra next match is Tuesday, March 4th at 2pm against Biola University @ home. FEBRUARY 28, 2008 RIVERSIDE, CA.- THE GOLDEN EAGLES WIN FIRST MATCH OF THE SEASON 6-3!!!!! La Sierra beat Mills College Thursday night to capture their first win of the 2008 season. # 1 singles Molly Banos won her first match 6-3,5-7,6-1. Banos also won her first doubles match with partner Rebecca Roquiz 8-0. Other results was: T. Rao won 1-6,7-5, 6-0 N.Mung won 6-1,6-1 R. Roquiz won 6-1, 6-1 A. Hsu won 6-3, 6-2 La Sierra (1-4) next match is Friday, February 29th in Thousand Oaks, California against Cal Lutheran University at 2pm. FEBRUARY 25, 2008 SANTA CLARITA, CA.- LSU LOSE TO THE MASTER'S COLLEGE.......... The Golden Eagles was defeated by the Mustangs of the Master's College 9-0. Molly Banos, LSU # 1 singles lost her match to Hannah Leake 6-3,6-3. LSU #1 doubles of Rebecca Roquiz and Banos lost 8-1 to Rebekah Kolstad and H. Leake. La Sierra (0-4) next match is Thursday, February 28th at 7pm @ home against Mills College. FEBRUARY 11, 2008 RIVERSIDE, CA.- THE LANCERS OF CBU BEAT THE GOLDEN EAGLES 9-0........ The two teams rescheduled the cancellation match from January 18th on Monday with Cal Baptist prevailing 9-0. The Golden Eagles(0-3) had a rough day in both singles and doubles. Our next match again will be 20th of February against the University of La Verne @ 6pm at home. FEBRUARY 8, 2008 RIVERSIDE, CA.- CHAPMAN UNIVERSITY BLANK THE GOLDEN EAGLES 9-0.............. The Panthers (3-1) defeated La Sierra on Friday afternoon. In one feature match LSU # 1 singles player, Molly Banos lost to Elizbeth Lewis 3-6, 0-6. In the other top match, LSU # 2 singles player, Rebecca Roquiz lost a tough match to Kelley Fox 4-6, 2-6. The Golden Eagles (0-2) next match is Wednesday, February 20th @ 6pm against the University of La Verne at home. FEBRUARY 1, 2008 RIVERSIDE, CA.- CAL LUTHERAN DEFEATS THE GOLDEN EAGLES IN SEASON OPENER........ The Regals of Cal Lutheran University beat La Sierra Friday afternoon 7-2. Cal Lutheran swept all three doubles matches en route to a five point win. Sam Aguinaldo of the Regals needed a super tie breaker third set to beat La Sierra's Niiang Mung 10-8 in a singles thrillier. The debut of freshmen Molly Banos of Corona High School as LSU's #1 singles was a great match but CLU's #1, Suzeye Nomura defeated Banos 7-5, 7-5 in a heatbreaker. The Golden Eagles next match is Sunday, February 3rd @ Cal Tech in Pasadena, Ca. at 11:30am.
