LSU was defeated Thursday night 7-2 by Hope
International
University. Jeremy Brown playing in his
last college match,
won 6-1,6-2. Jorge Guiza and Joemm Blanche
finished their
college careers off in fine fashion winning
their doubles match
9-8. This was the last match of the season
and the Golden
Eagles ending record was 3-8.

MIRADA, CA.- BIOLA DEFEATS
LSU AGAIN........
Atfer the team's slow start and disappointing
round of losses in doubles,
# 1 singles player Alan Estareja came back
from a first set loss (6-7) in a
close tie-breaker, to win the next two sets
(6-3,10-5) with the last set being
a super tie-breaker. This was Alan's
seventh straight singles match wins in a
row and his season singles record is now
10 wins with only 2 defeats coming
against top nationally ranked opponents.
Playing in the #5 singles position, Jorge
Guiza toughed out the first set tie-
breaker (7-4) and won second set 6-4 winning
in straight sets.
Senior Jeremy Brown won his match in straight
sets 6-2,7-5 in straight sets
at the #6 singles position for his record
sixth win of the season.
La Sierra next match is Thursday, April
10 at home against Hope International
University.

The Mustangs of Western New Mexico University
defeated LSU
Thursday evening 7-2.

CA.- LSU DEFEATS LAKE
FOREST COLLEGE 5-4..........
The Golden Eagles defeated the Foresters
of Lake Forest College
from
Illinois Sunday afternoon, 5-4. LSU won
2 doubles matches
and 3 singles matches. # 1 & #2 doubles
teams set up the team win
by giving the Golden Eagles a two points
to one lead (best of nine)
going into singles play. Only needing to
win 3 out of 6 singles matches
for a team win, # 1 singles Alan Estareja,
#2 singles Brandon Mc Cowan
and #5 singles Jeremy Brown clinched the
team's victory.
LSU next match is Thursday, March 13 at
6 pm at home against Western
New Mexico University.

MATCH AGAINST BIOLA........
Biola University defeated the Golden Eagles
Friday afternoon 6-3.
La Sierra won 2 singles matches (#1 singles:
Alan Estareja (LSU)
defeated Colin Snow,6-2 & 6-3 and #3
singles: Brandon Mc Cowan
(LSU)
defeated Justin Mart, 6-3 & 6-2). La
Sierra also won a doubles
match: (# 1 doubles: Estareja &
Mc Cowan (LSU) defeating Tyler Jung
and
Colin Snow, 8-4.
LSU next match is Sunday, March 9, at 2
pm at home against Lake
Forest College.

The Golden Eagles beat the Cal Tech Beavers
5-4 Sunday
afternoon. La Sierra won 2 doubles matches
and #1 singles

Jeremy Brown won their singles matches.

night 8-1. La Sierra's match of the
evening was # 1 singles

La Sierra was defeated by Chapman University
Friday afternoon
9-0 . The highlight match of the day was
a tough loss by the #1
doubles team of Alan Estarja and Brandon
McCowan, losing 8-6.

OF CBU...........
The Golden Eagles was defeated Monday by
Cal Baptist University 9-0.
LSU #1 doubles team of Alan Estareja &
Brandon McCowan lost a
tough match, 8-5. Estareja, LSU # 1 singles
player fought hard but came
up short, 2-6, 3-6.
La Sierra next match is Friday, February
15th @ 2pm against Chapman
University in Orange, California.

La Sierra defeated the Lancers of Cal Baptist
University Friday afternoon
6-3 in men's tennis.

year to the Leopards of the
University of La Verne 7-2. LSU bright spots
was Alan Estreja,
LSU #1 singles defeated Mario Backes 6-3,
7-6 and Jeremy Brown's
tough win at #6 singles winning 2-6, 6-3,
(10-8).
La Sierra next match is February 3rd @ Cal
Tech in Pasadena, Ca.
NOTE: LSU plays a scrimmage match against
Cypress JC @ 6pm
