We are delighted to offer students and/or parents wishing to borrow under the Federal Family Education Loan Program the opportunity of completing the application(s) online!

• you have been accepted to La Sierra University
• your financial aid application is complete
• you plan to enroll at least 1/2 time in a degree program
• you need loans to assist with the cost of your education

We will electronically certify your Federal Stafford Loan, Unsubsidized Stafford Loan, and/or PLUS Loan with USA Fund Services (USAGS), our new nationally acclaimed guarantor. (Your loan(s) will be certified for the maximum amount for which you are eligible; however, we encourage you to borrow less than the amount shown if you have found alternative funding to cover your college costs.) After your loan is guaranteed by USAGS they will place it on the world wide web.

You may then access your loan application(s) through this webpage and complete them online. The processing time for your loan(s) before they appear on the world wide web is from two to four working days. If your loan(s) are not on the world wide web now, wait a couple of days and try again.

If you meet the criteria above, have waited four days, and are still unable to access your loan application (e.g. after submitting your name and date of birth and there are no buttons to click) then please contact the LSU Office of Student Financial Services at (951) 785-2175 or e-mail us at sfs@lasierra.edu.

Because the Federal government has not yet approved electronic signatures on promissory notes you will be required to print out the signature page and mail it to your lender/guarantor. The correct address will be printed on the top right-hand corner of your master promissory note.

REQUIRED:

If you are a first-time Federal Stafford Loan borrower at La Sierra you are required to complete a Federal Stafford Entrance Interview. This must be completed prior to receiving your first disbursement of funds. We recommend that you do it online now so you won't forget this important requirement. This process takes less than 10 minutes to complete!
