Philosophy and Organization (6)

Provides a philosophical base to organization and structure of curriculum and its development. Opportunity is given to analyze a variety of curricula.

EDCI 552 Analysis of Curricular Alternatives, or equivalent   3
EDCI 598 Seminar in Current Trends, or equivalent   3

Implementation and Evaluatin of Curricula (9)

Techniques and strategies are discussed to implement and evaluate the curriculum. Special note is made about dealing with students who have difficulties integrating into the regular classroom.

EDCI 506 Instructional Evaluation Design, or equivalent   3
EDCI 564 Special Education in the Regular Classroom   3
    Electives (suggestions: EDCI 515, 519, 560)   3

Literature and Research in Curriculum (6)

Provides knowledge of how various types of educational research are done.

EDCI 597 Project in Curriculum (Should be related to area of Concentration)   3

Curriculum Concentration (12)

This section provides an opportunity to build expertise in a certain teaching area. The aplication of the theories of Curriculum and instructin are focused on the student's area of concentration and interest. Students. In consultation with their advisors, develop their concentration pending the approval of the department.
