Gloria M. Hicinbothom, Ph.D. (University of Connecticut, 1998). She has taught psychology at La Sierra since 1991, and her areas of research are child development and ethology, focusing on duckling vocalizations, particularly issues of instinct and environment.

In-Kyeong Kim, Ph.D. (Cornell University, 1990), joined the faculty in 1995. Her areas of research are in cognitive and developmental psychology, focusing on perceptual and cognitive development, the origin of physical knowledge, and children's eyewitness memory.

Suzanne T. Mallery, Ph.D. (Fuller Graduate School of Psychology, 1998) recently joined the faculty. Her research interests include pediatric psychology and the ontology of mental illness.

Paul M. Mallery, Ph.D. (University of California, Los Angeles, 1994), has been a member of the Psychology faculty since 1993. His research interests include social and political psychology, focusing on intergroup relations, primarily social comparisons in intergroup settings, and prejudice. In addition to numerous conference presentations, he has co-authored two textbooks on the SPSS statistical package.

Leslie Martin, PhD (University of California, Riverside, 1996), is professor and chair of the Psychology Department. Leslie is a social and personality psychologist specializing in health psychology, with research interests in physician-patient communication and the relationships between personality/psychosocial variables and physical health. In addition to her journal publications and conference presentations, she has co-authored an undergraduate textbook titled Health Psychology

Adeny Schmidt, PhD (University of California, Los Angeles, 1986), is a professor of Psychology, and has been at La Sierra since 1974. Her research interests include children at risk for school success and service learning. She has a grant from the Corporation for National and Community Service. She has made numerous presentations at professional conferences.
