A longing for something more lives in the hearts of men and women who look thoughtfully at the world, who consider their own human condition and limitations. At least that’s the belief of Kent Hansen, who recently wrote the book Cleansing Fire, Healing Streams. He is a 1975 graduate of La Sierra University.
A husband, father, civic leader, successful and respected attorney, Hansen is one of those who has looked thoughtfully, considered his own condition, and been changed by God’s grace.
“I write my personal experience not to bare my soul, for that alone helps no one,” Hansen says. “I am telling you out of my personal knowledge about the cleansing and healing that is possible with Jesus Christ.”
.
Hansen is a partner at the law firm of Clayson, Mann, Yeager and Hansen, and specializes in healthcare, higher education, and nonprofit organizations. He lives in Corona, California, with his wife, Patricia (Fischell) (’75, ’78), and son, Andrew. He enjoys reading, hiking, piano, golf, and baseball in his spare time.
He serves as general counsel for Loma Linda University Adventist Health Sciences Center and as an assistant professor of dental education services for Loma Linda University School of Dentistry. Kent also currently serves on the board of directors for Corona Regional Medical Center, and as legal counsel to the La Sierra University board of trustees.
Hansen previously wrote the book Grace at 30,000 Feet and Other Unexpected Places. In addition, he has written numerous articles for periodicals such as the Adventist Review, Spectrum, Signs of the Times, J.D., and the Willamette Law Journal.
Cleansing Fire, Healing Streams is published by Pacific Press Publishing Association. Both of Hansen’s books can be purchased at Adventist Book Centers across North America, or online at amazon.com or adventistbookcenter.com.
