Branden Stoltz, a junior Business Administration major at La Sierra University, shares how service as a student missionary changed his perspective on life, and drew him closer to Christ.

Velda and Bobby Brown, read part of the Stahl Center Sabbath’s liturgy during the October 30, 2004, service at the La Sierra University Adventist church. The Stahl Center service is held annually at the church the last weekend of October.

Nearly 100 students, La Sierra University faculty and staff, and community members of the LSU Adventist church participated in the Stahl Center Sabbath processional to open the worship service. The Stahl Center weekend focuses the University’s attention on the opportunities of international service and outreach.

Raewyn Hankins, 2004 La Sierra graduate and currently associate pastor of the Chula Vista Adventist church, returned to campus to present the Stahl Center weekend homily. Her talk was titled “The Call To Be . . .”

Charles Teel, professor of Religion and Society in La Sierra’s School of Religion, serves as the director for the Ana and Fernando Stahl Center for World Service. He coordinated the October 28-30 events.
