Fisher Riverside, CA – La Sierra University is presently open and operating fully. Many area school districts have closed that are located closer to the fires. Currently, La Sierra University is only experiencing smoke filled air with some falling ash due to the fires and the direction of the Santa Ana winds. The fires in Riverside County are located at Lake Skinner in Temecula, which is 50 miles from LSU; Anza which is 75 miles from LSU; San Diego County which is about 100 miles from LSU; San Bernardino County which is about 22 miles east of LSU; Los Angeles County which is around 80 miles from LSU; and Ventura County about 90 miles from LSU. For more details and maps on the fire locations please click on the local newspapers listed on the web page [below].
