Riverside, CA – Barbara Favorito, Chair and Professor La Sierra University Department of Music, will conduct the final concert of the La Sierra University Wind Ensemble Saturday, May 31, 2003 8:30 pm in Hole Memorial Auditorium, 4700 Pierce Street, Riverside, Ca. The Ensemble will present A Music Portrait of America, a musical tribute to American composers.

The concert will showcase Leonard Bernstein’s Overture to Candide, Aaron Copland’s Lincoln Portrait, and George Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue featuring piano soloist Elvin Rodriquez, Professor of Piano at the University. A Music Portrait of America will close with the Star Wars Trilogy, based on John Williams’ best-known film score, Star Wars.
