La Sierra University's Students In Free Enterprise team received the 2003 Riverside Hero Award during the 26th Annual Mayor's State of the City address, January 30. More than 700 Riverside business and community leaders attended the event.

The Riverside Hero award is presented to a group or individual who, during the previous year, made the most significant contribution and increased the Riverside community's reputation at the state and national levels. The La Sierra student group was singled out in recognition of their winning performance at the SIFE world championship competition held last summer in Amsterdam.
