January, 2001-- Alan Soderblom, a 1986 La Sierra University alumnus, has been appointed vice president of finance and CFO for Paradise Valley Hospital in San Diego. Soderblom assumed full-time responsibilities on January 2, 2001.

With 14 years of health care finance experience, Soderblom most recently served as vice president of Loma Linda University Behavioral Medicine Center, where he held various financial positions since 1993. As vice president, he was responsible for administrative and fiscal management of all services, business development, physician recruitment and compliance.

Soderblom holds a BS in accounting and business administration from La Sierra University, and an MBA from the University of Redlands. An active member of the health care profession, he currently serves as secretary/treasurer of the CALNET Hospital Association and sits on the California Hospital Association‚s Inland Empire Mental Health Committee. He is also a member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association.
