Riverside, Calif., January, 2001-- The Board of Trustees for La Sierra University came for dinner and stayed for the weekend, Jan. 19-21. Contrary to the maxim of "wearing out their welcome," the Trustees, faculty and administrators had the opportunity to deepen relationships over the course of small group discussions, worship, a communications workshop, a WASC (accreditation) workshop, meals, and a fabulous faculty music recital.

"The opportunities for meeting co-workers from other departments was outstanding," said one administrator. "I enjoyed the interaction with the Board members, too. Itâs reassuring to know that we're all on the same side: making La Sierra an increasingly wonderful place to study and work."

A trustee wrote a few days later: "Thanks so much for the great weekend. I loved being able to spend some time with you. I really think it was a very valuable weekend in many ways."
