Riverside, Calif., October, 2000-- Each year, teachers across the United States are recognized for their teaching excellence in Who's Who Among America's Teachers. This year, La Sierra University is celebrating five of its faculty members (Jane Sally Kiasiong Andriamiarisoa, Dr. Hinrich Kaiser, Dr. Edwin Anthony Karlow, Dr. Leslie Renee Martin, and Beatriz Mejia-Krumbein as honorees.

Honored faculty members come from diverse departments on campus. Jane Sally Andiamiarisoa was the assistant director of the Stahl Center until recently. Hinrich Kaiser, PhD, is associate professor of biology. Edwin Anthony Karlow, PhD, is professor of physics. Leslie Renee Martin, PhD, is an assistant professor in the Psychology Department. Beatriz Mejia-Krumbein, MA,MS, is an associate professor in the Art Department.

Inclusion in Who's Who Among America's Teachers is an honor given to teachers who have been nominated by students who have been listed in either Who's Who Among American High School Students or the National Dean's List.
