Assistant Professor of Music

Violinist Jason Uyeyama is currently the Director of String Studies at La Sierra University where he teaches violin, viola, and chamber music.  He continues to lead an active career as recitalist, chamber musician, and soloist throughout the United States, Canada, and Japan.  He performs regularly with the Los Angeles Philharmonic and will again join the St. Paul Chamber Orchestra for performances during the 2007-08 season.  Festival appearances include Aspen, Taos, Tanglewood, and the San Luis Obispo Mozart Festival.  Jason received his master’s degree from the Juilliard School.
