Current Projects and Experience
Dr. Rodriguez has been involved in the research and development
of a music theory software program for the last six years.
This has led to Musica Analytica, a published software program
for both the PCs and Macs. Dr. Rodriguez is also currently
involved in researching and playing Spanish/Latin American
repertoire that is not frequently played. Some of the works
are either out of print, or not yet in print.
Recent Presentations
In the past year, Dr. Rodríguez was invited to present
at the California Music Educators Conference, in conjunction
with the Technology Institute for Music Educators, on his
research and development of Musica Analytica. In 2004, he
will be presenting for the Texas Music Educators Conference
and TI:ME conference. Also scheduled for 2004 are a Brahms
two-night recital series featuring the complete sonatas for
violin and piano and selected solo works for piano, a solo
recital at the Carriage House in Redlands, and a keyboard/sacred
music clinic in Chicago.
Recent performances include a chamber recital at the Carriage
House in Redlands, a chamber recital at the Brandstater Gallery
Artist Series, La Sierra University, and the Brahms G-minor
piano quartet with the Lyndon Taylor Quartet. Dr. Rodríguez
recently performed and recorded a world premiere two-piano
piece by Los Angeles composer Robert Guillory that was part
of a two-piano recital given in Hole Memorial Auditorium at
La Sierra University. He also played organ continuo in the
"Glory of the Baroque" concert given by the Riverside
Master Chorale.
