Pre-Health Professions

Pre-Health Professions: Partners in Your Success

Pre-Health Professions assist students with their preparations for professional programs. The services we provide are varied. Current pre-health students have access to all our services and many are available to prospective students and alumni. We offer pre-health advising, assistance with centralized application services (e.g. AMCAS, AADSAS, PharmCAS, etc.) and the recommendation committee process. Cynthia Douglas and Natasha Dean are members of the National Association of Advisors for the Health Professions (NAAHP). Additionally, we offer workshops that help students navigate the application process.

Our office has been restructured and we are now part of the Center for Student Academic Success (CSAS). We are now located in Sierra Vista Hall, Room 111. The restructuring has had a subtle impact on how we do our jobs. Although we have retained our "open-door" policy, we are asking students to make appointments, whenever possible, to help decrease the wait time for walk-ins. You may also find our doors closed on occasion, as for lunch, for campus meetings, or for special projects. Be assured that we are committed to helping you: overseeing the Recommendation Committee, creating new programs, developing new community partners-- all so we can partner with you. We are also available to you in new ways, including Facebook. So, continue to stop by our office with your questions even though we've restructured. Remember, we are consistent partners in your success.
