Cataloging

The Cataloging staff, part of the Technical Services Department, is responsible for cataloging and classifying library materials and prepares these materials for circulation. Another area of activity is the development and maintenance of the Library's on-line catalog. Cataloging personnel seek to provide a catalog that accurately reflects the Library's current holdings by adding, deleting, and editing bibliographic records. Books recently added to the collection are included in a regularly updated "New Books List."

. If you have any comments or questions regarding cataloging or bibliographic database issues, you can telephone the Cataloging Department at (951) 785-2403.
