La Sierra University is so proud to be amongst a collection of Seventh-Day Adventist colleges and universities around the world that prepare and enable our students to become active global participants.   

The Student Missions phenomena, started right here at La Sierra University in 1967 with the very first year-long student missionary abroad, has grown into a revolution of hundreds of young people from all reaches pouring their time, talent and tears into making a difference in the lives of our brothers and sisters abroad.   

And the work begins with you!  As a former student missionary, it is hard for me to describe the sheer awesomeness of being an SM.  The sense of wonder of learning about a new culture, cultivating tools of success and leadership that could never be attained by sitting in a classroom, and the guttural agony of leaving behind people who will forever be a part of who you...are all part of the Missions experience.  The decision is not easy...but the rewards are endless.
