OISS 2008-09 Orientation
Is there an orientation for international students?
Undergraduate first-year international students are required to attend a Summer Orientation. You can choose to attend the orientation specially designed for your needs scheduled on September 15-16, 2008, or you may attend any of the 2-day orientations scheduled throughout the summer. Note that undergraduate international students must also attend the IGNITE program, which begins immediately following the September 15-16 Summer Orientation.
Undergraduate transfer international students to are encouraged to attend one of our Transfer Orientations on August 11 or September 11, from 8:30 a.m. - 3 p.m. To register for a Transfer Orientation go to www.lasierra.edu and click on "New Students 2008" or call (951) 785-2452.
Graduate international students are required to attend orientation on September 17-18, 2008, beginning at 8:30 a.m. each day.
During the orientations listed above, you will:
- Become oriented with American values and standards.
- Update your immigration records and learn about the immigration regulations you must follow.
- Take all required placement exams, get advised for classes, registered, and introduced to LSU life.
- Meet your fellow international students.
