Criteria: Open to all majors. Applicant is awarded based on merit,

National Association of Hispanic Journalists
Criteria: Open to Hispanic students in the field of journalism.
1. COMMITMENT TO THE FIELD OF JOURNALISM — Students must demonstrate
an interest and desire to pursue a career in the field of
journalism. This applies to students who are planning careers in
English or Spanish-language media. Students do not have to be
journalism majors to be eligible for NAHJ scholarships.
2. ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT — There is no minimum grade point average to
qualify for NAHJ scholarships. However, earning good grades is
always important. Academic performance will play a role in deciding
which students are awarded scholarships.
3. FINANCIAL NEED — The economic status of a student's household

4. AWARENESS OF THE COMMUNITY — The Latino community is the
fastest-growing segment of the U.S. population. Student journalists

National Consortium for Graduate Degrees for Minorities in
Engineering and Science
Criteria: Applicant must be part of a minority ethnic group pursuing
doctoral degrees in the natural science disciplines – Biochemistry,
Chemistry, Physics, Earth Sciences, Mathematics, Biological
Sciences, and Computer Science. Applicant must be in their junior
undergraduate year or currently enrolled in a Master’s program.

American Political Science Association – Minority Fellows Program

doctoral study program.

Marshall Scholarship
Criteria: Open to all majors. Applicant must be an undergraduate
senior or graduate interested in studying in the UK.

American-Scandinavian Foundation: Grant, Fellowship
Criteria: Open to all majors, for study/research in Denmark,
Finland, Iceland, Norway or Sweden. Applicants must have completed
their undergraduate education and have a well-defined research or
study project that makes a stay in Scandinavia essential, applicants
must be US citizens or permanent residents. First priority will be
granted to those applicants who have not previously received an ASF
award. Only in exceptional cases will a third award be considered.
