LSU Service-Learning

Course Planning

Planning Ahead:

A large number of courses have been approved as service-learning; however, you need to make sure that the course is being offered as Service-Learning credit the quarter you are taking it. You can find whether a particular course is offered as Service-Learning by searching in the last two lines of the General Education drop-down menu in the on-line course schedule.

Courses can require that all students complete the Service-Learning (Service-Learning Required – SLR) or may offer Service-Learning as an option (Service-Learning Optional – SLO). When a class offers Service-Learning as an option, students wishing to participate in Service-Learning will register for that option on the first day of class.

As use of Service-Learning as a teaching strategy exists at the will of the given course instructor, the Service-Learning Office works to provide students with information needed to plan ahead to meet graduation requirements. The sheet below contains the most accurate, up-to-date information regarding Service-Learning courses. If you are planning to take a specific Service-Learning course within that time, please check this sheet as well as the online course schedule regularly. If you find any of this information to be incorrect or have any questions, please contact the Office of Service-Learning.

Red = Course will not be offered with Service-Learning (may have been listed otherwise in the past)
