Information for Advisors
Advising
Excellent advising is key in the continued success of our students. When students are aware of and prepared for Service-Learning requirements and experiences, their potential for gaining and retaining knowledge increases dramatically. At La Sierra University, we believe that students do not need to wait until after graduation to apply their knowledge, skills, and abilities in the world around them. Application through service to others right now brings true purpose to their education.
For students to obtain accurate, useful information about Service-Learning requirements and experiences, it is important that their advisors in turn have access to accurate, useful information. Please use the information below, links on the sidebar to the left, and other information on this site to aquaint yourself with Service-Learning at La Sierra University. In the Office of Service-Learning, we highly value and quickly act upon feedback, so please contact us if you have any questions, concerns, or ideas.
Special thanks to Cheryl Bauman (School of Business Coordinator of Student Services) and Tiffany Ap (Student) for their input and feedback which led to the development of this section of our website.
