Research, or the relentless pursuit of new
knowledge, is one of the most important activities at any university.
Research, however, must be combined with the training of young scholars
to become independent investigators and thinkers in their own right. It
is for these reasons that universities exist. To this end, a group of
pioneering students have established a Research Society on our campus.
They are excited about discovery and their excitement is contagious.
These young shakers and movers have accepted the challenge to explore
that which is as yet uncharted. The extent of their commitment is
impressive as several of them have already succeeded at publishing the
results of their original research in peer-reviewed jounals. Their
challenge to all of our other students is simple: Can you keep up with
them? Can you handle their level of commitment and responsibility? If
you think that you can, you might consider joining them.
