Banner System |
What is Banner? Banner System is an administrative application tools developed by SunGard Higher Education (SunGardHE). Included in the system suite are Student, Financial Aid, Finance, Human Resources and Advancement. It is a tightly integrated suite designed to support institutions of all sizes and types. Banner runs on the Oracle RDBMS. La Sierra University has been using SunGard Banner System since 1993. Currently, LSU has the following modules implemented: * Account Reveivable * Student with Student Self-Service * Human Resources with Employee Self-Service * Financial Aid with Faculty and Advisor Self-Service * Finance with Finance Self-Service |

The following are the tentative plans for Banner 8 upgrade on the new servers: * Configurations and migration of Banner files to new servers - December 2009 * Banner 8 upgrades on new DB02 - Test database - Dec 200/ Jan/2010 * Banner 8 upgrades on new DB01 - Live database - Feb/Mar 2010 * Testing period in PPRD database - January to April 2010 * Target to go LIVE - Summer 2010 |
