a minimum of 6 units per quarter.
- Clerical tests are given per department's request.
What is Federal Work Study (FWS)?
Federal Work Study is a fund awarded to qualifying students by
the Federal Government in which the government pays 75 percent
of the student's wages, while the department pays the remaining
25 percent. The Office of Student Financial Services determines a student's eligibility
using the FAFSA Application filled out by the student. Federal
Work Study is a form of financial aid.
What are the limitations?
A student on Federal Work Study may work under FWS to the amount
of award. The award should be paced out over the school year. When
the award is reached, the student must stop earning under Federal
Work Study. *PLEASE NOTE* This does not mean the student is no longer
eligible for employment. A record
of Federal Work Study earnings is kept in the Human Resources Office.
Federal Work Study Awards
Students with a financial need should consult the Office of Student Financial Services. Any questions regarding Federal Work Study awards may be
directed to the Office of Student Financial Services..
