Student Computer Technician
Two students needed to assist the Technical Support Manager for summer, Monday through Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. Duties include answering the phone, filling out paperwork for work orders which have been completed, providing user/customer support for hardware and software issues and other duties as assigned. Students needed to start working immediately. Must possess a valid driver license. Duties include cleaning buildings, as assigned by the supervisor, making occasional deliveries of supplies to the janitor's closets, dorms, and departments; vacuuming classrooms, picking up trash, cleaning offices, hallways, furniture, and restrooms. This position also requires moving furniture from office to office and performing other miscellaneous duties as assigned by the supervisor. Must be able to lift heavy furniture and boxes. Student needed for a long-term position starting immediately. Full time work during the summer, Monday-Thursday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Friday 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. Must be able to work during the school year a minimum of 20 hours per week. Must have basic C++ and D-base knowledge. Must have strong problem-solving and customer service skills. Lifeguard/Water Safety Instructor

Student needed for Summer for Lifeguard/WSI position. Must be Red Cross/Title 22 certified. Must have the knowledge for developmentally appropriate activities, instructional cues, and drills based upon the American Red Cross Swimming curriculum. Must have the ability to assess, instruct, and give feedback to swimmers in an instructional setting while demonstrating effective class management practices. Must maintain appropriate records including waivers, registration forms and Red Cross progress reports. Duties also include testing and maintaining pool chemical balance, open facility for swimming, check all filters daily, close facility properly and miscellaneous duties as assigned by the supervisor. Students needed to assist with maintaining the campus to attribute to the beauty, safety and function of the environment. Must possess a valid driver license. Must be willing to work outdoors in all weather conditions. Must be physically active with the ability to sweep, rake, clean debris, hoe, pull weeds, prune and trim shrubs, water plants and perform tasks as requested by the supervisor. Duties will vary. Campus Assistant Patrol Rookie
(CAP Rookie)

To help provide immediate assistance to the University community on campus by responding to calls the regular patrol officer would respond to, escorts for people such as handicapped individuals, perform jump-start and car open-ups, enforce parking regulations. Assist regular officers with some building lockups as necessary to lighten their load. Make reports as necessary. Type 25 wpm or more. Current CA DL, No criminal record. First Aid and CPR certified. Receive Guard Card training. Must be 18 or older. Clerical test in HR required. Pay starts at $7.25 per hour. Please contact Doug for more information.

Student needed to assist the Assistant to the VP for Student Life with the development, maintenance, and upkeep of the Student Life web sites. Duties include: Maintaining and updating the different Student Life websites/pages, researching other higher education websites, developing content as well as interactive, database-driven web pages, and assist with other office needs as requested by supervisor. Must be knowledgeable in HMTL, PHP, and MYSQL database development. Knowledge of Dreamweaver, required. Must have own computer and software.
