The
Seventh-day Adventist Church founded La Sierra University in the scenic

Assistant Professor, Masters to Ph.D., tenure track
History, Politics & Society
Brief Description: The Department of History, Politics & Society is seeking applicants for a tenure track position in History with an emphasis on transnational or trans-regional studies, including but not limited to colonialism, migration, global history, and relations among states and peoples. Applicants having a regional emphasis in Latin American History and in the field of Political Studies will receive particular attention. Special interest will be shown as well to junior and mid-career scholars who have completed a Ph.D. at the start of the appointment and who have demonstrated excellence through innovative teaching and a commitment to research and publication.
Qualifications: Candidate must have a minimum of a Masters in History and a Ph.D. in dissertation phases. Ph.D. in History preferred.
Position Available: July 1, 2009
Salary Range: $39,965.00 - $55,131.00
