The
Seventh-day Adventist Church founded La Sierra University in the scenic
Southern California City of Riverside in 1922. Riverside is a city of

Assistant Professor - Associate Professor PhD of Physical Education & Health (Tenure Track)
Health, Exercise Science
Brief Description: Tenure track faculty position. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: A) Teaching: physical education teacher education, exercise science courses, lifetime fitness, activity courses, etc.; B) Scholarship: involvement in scholarly activities related to the discipline; C) Service: departmental, university committee memberships; advising students; and involvement and contribution to professional organizations.
Qualified candidate must be a dynamic teacher with a passion for students.
Qualifications: A MS in Physical Education or closely related field required; PhD in Physical Education preferred. A minimum of 5 years teaching experience, with 3+ teaching in higher education preferred. Candidate must be committed to Seventh-day Adventist education and its values-systems. Candidate must also have a love of learning that is evidenced by ongoing scholarship. Candidate will be exposed to hot and cold temperatures at varying times of the year.
Position Available: July 1, 2010
Salary Range: $44,905.00 - $63,034.00
