Theater Sports: Whose Dangling Modifier is it Anyway?

Synopsis:  Two Improv teams in an unplanned evening of who knows what will happen next? High adventure, true love, laughter, tears, treachery, nobility, and . . . um . . . more dangling modifiers derived from exciting past participles? 
Auditions:  October 4 @ 10 a.m. in Matheson (Audition will finish at 2 p.m.)
Performance:  October 17


"A Tuna Christmas"

Synopsis: It’s 24 hours before Christmas and all comic chaos is about to break loose as the delightfully eccentric characters attempt to cope with seasonal traumas such as a disaster prone little theater production of “A Christmas Carol.” Bring the whole family and join in the holiday mayhem as 2 actors portray all 24 citizens of Texas’ smallest town. The hilarious sequel to the hit comedy, “Greater Tuna.”
Performances:  December 2, 3, 5, 6


The 3rd Annual Festival of One-Acts

Synopsis:  Student talent is showcased in an evening of one-act plays featuring student directors and actors. This year will feature James Weldon Johnson’s classic series of inspirational sermons of old-time black preachers, “God’s Trombones” accompanied by live music.
Auditions:  January 10 @ 4 p.m. in Matheson
Performances:  February 24, 25 (SALSU event), 27, 28 & Alumni weekend


“The Miracle Worker”

Synopsis: This stirring dramatization of the story of Helen Keller is one of the most successful and warmly admired plays of the modern stage. Blind and mute, nobody knows what Helen’s fate might have been had she not come under the tutelage of Annie Sullivan, an Irish girl who had been born blind. Only Annie realizes that there is a mind waiting to be rescued from that dark, tortured silence.

A former chapel, the new home of LSUDrama & Improv Church is located on the La Sierra Campus behind the administration building, next to South Hall.

Tickets:
$10 General Admission
$7 LSU students/faculty/staff

Season Tickets:
$35 General Admission
$25 LSU students/faculty/staff

You may use your season ticket punches for one admission to each of the four productions or combine them to buy several tickets for a particular production. Season tickets are not sold after December 1. We reserve the right to make changes in our season should the need arise.
