The
Golden Eagles played their last home match of
the season as they honored Erin Elam in her last
home match of the year. In the home finale,
the Golden Eagles pushed Occidental in the 3rd
set of the match ultimately falling by a score
of 25-21. On the night, the Golden Eagles were
led by Paula Hernandez 7 kills and 8 digs and
Erin Elams' 13 digs. The Golden Eagles finish
the season on the road at Chapman University with
match time set for 7:00 p.m.
October 20, 2009
La Sierra
University fell to the visiting Eagles of West
Coast Baptist tonight in 4 games. Leading
the way for the Golden Eagles was Roseanne Ornopia
with 3 aces and 11 digs, Paula Hernandez with
18 kills and 8 digs and Erin Elam with 15 digs.
The
Golden Eagles close out their home schedule on
Saturday night with an 8:00 p.m. match against
the visiting Tigers from Occidental College.

Sierra University 0, Cal Tech 3
The
Golden Eagles faught valiantly and came away on
the short end of the match. Leading the
way for the Golden Eagles was Roseanne Ornopia
with 12 digs. Paula Hernandez also played well
for the Golden Eagles who had 18 digs and 2 blocks.
The Golden Eagles return to action next week with
a match against West Coast Baptist.
