Coach Munoz is entering his second year as head coach of LSU Men's Soccer Team, after coaching the teams' inaugural NCAA Division III season in 2005. In his first season with the Golden Eagles, Munoz led the team to a 1-7-1 record.

Munoz played NAIA and NCAA Division II soccer for Columbia Union College, MD. There he was awarded MVP honors and was a team Captain the 4 seasons he participated. He scored 34 goals during his college career. He also was the Head Coach for the Pioneers from 1998-2000.

Coach Munoz holds a Masters Degree in Sports Leadership from Virginia Commonwealth University. While attending VCU, he was a graduate assistant in the coaching staff of the Rams, who reached the NCAA Tournament that year. In 2003 Munoz started working for the Charleston Battery (2003 A-League Champions), a professional soccer team in South Carolina. He was the team's equipment manager, and also was a stadium & facilities grounds man until 2005.

John Munoz resides in Loma Linda, CA. with his wife Jennifer, son Mario and daughter Sarah. He enjoys, well... playing soccer!
