The CrossWalk Seventh-day Adventist Church will host a free screening of the award winning feature-length documentary A Walk to Beautiful (www.walktobeautiful.com), 6:30 PM, February 9, 2008 at 10455 Corporate Drive, Redlands, CA. A Walk to Beautiful tells the stories of five Ethiopian women who suffer from devastating childbirth injuries and embark on a journey to reclaim their lost dignity. Rejected by their husbands and ostracized by their communities, these women are left to spend the rest of their lives in loneliness and shame. The trials they endure -- and their attempts to rebuild their lives -- tell a universal story of hope, courage, and transformation. Scheduled for national release in New York and Los Angeles next month, the film will also be shown on PBS' Nova later this spring.
