Rotating Display Exhibit
Naming Opportunity is $5 million
This changeable-displays gallery is located on the western curbside of N. Palm Canyon, directly adjacent and connected to the bookstore/gift shop. This striking structure will house a regular series of traveling international exhibits, as well as a “best of the best” showing of the permanent museum collection. A mini-visitor’s center for Coachella Valley area naturalist-oriented organizations will hold a perpetual place here. On the second story will be boardroom, office and classroom space, with potential for the opening of a rare middle-eastern antiquities collection from the extensive personal holdings of Dr. Lawrence T. Geraty, La Sierra University President-emeritus and internationally-noted archeologist. The top floor will be used for a special dining space with dramatic 360 views of the city and surrounding mountains.

     
2   Bookstore & Gift Shop
Naming Opportunity is $2 million
The bookstore and museum gift shop is right on busy N. Palm Canyon pedestrian walkways, making it easily accessible for shoppers looking for a unique present for their spouse, grandchild, or partner. Special emphasis will be given to conservation and ecology-oriented literature and items, in harmony with the museum’s bio-diversity theme. The museum’s ticket sales office is also located here.
     
3   Permanent Display Museum
Naming Opportunity is $12 million
The permanent collections of the World Museum of Natural History-Palm Springs are housed in this largest campus building, which features a West Wing, an East Wing, and the Grand Rotunda entrance along with three stories of specimens and items from around the globe in the areas of biology, hydrology, gemology, paleontology, anthropology, climatology, and a children’s science zone. The structure will be green-friendly to set an example of the highest environmental responsibility. The architecture will contribute to the creation of a world-class center of sightseeing, scientific study, and special events.
     
4   Food Service Area, Offices & Classrooms
Naming Opportunity is $3 million
The food service center will have state-of-the-art preparation and service facilities, offering beautiful views of the native plant courtyard and main museum entrance. Visitors will be offered an international menu with seating for 200+. A group of classrooms/offices will be located on the second floor, potentially providing a place for small non-profits to call home.
     
5   Performing Arts Center & Auditorium
Naming Opportunity is $7 million
The performing arts center and auditorium theatre will be a landmark, presenting an ongoing variety of optimum-quality performances, lectures, and other series/concerts in an intimate setting of 220 seats. The highest level in engineering will be used to create the finest quality of lighting, acoustics, and seating for guests. Practice rooms and rehearsal areas will enhance the educational aspect. Event administration offices are located here.
     
6   Administration Building, Classrooms & Philanthropy Institute
Naming Opportunity is $4 million
The La Sierra University education and administration tower will house the main museum offices and executive offices for the campus. The instruction hall will include multiple classrooms, labs, and teaching amphitheatre spaces, along with the Philanthropic Support Center. Three efficiency apartments with kitchen, bath, and bedroom provision will be included for visiting performers, scientists, lecturers, and museum curators/administrators.
     
7   Courtyard & Native Plant Garden
Naming Opportunity is $1 million
The native canyon courtyard, complete with rockscape, waterfalls, and river interspersed with varied indigenous plant life will provide a perfect respite zone for museum attendees, lunchtime residents, evening gala-goers, and those seeking a place of relaxation/renewal. Stunning mountain views are a tremendous asset and assured with the site layout.
     
8   Entire Mini-Campus Museum Complex
Naming Opportunity is $20 million
