Inauguration Ceremony March 6, 2008 10AM

The quarter is winding down and finals week is approaching. Take some time to rest and rejuvenate at the Inauguration Ceremony this upcoming Thursday, March 6, 2008. The Ceremony will start at 10AM this week so make sure you are aware of the time difference from normal UW.

This upcoming Thursday, February 28th, La Sierra University will have another exciting breakout worship session. As you know, breakout worships sessions happen across campus giving you the ability to worship in smaller groups. This quarter is going to be over quicker then you think, so ask around about the other breakout sessions that are available so you can get an idea of what to sign up for in the spring.

This week we will be having University Worship on Thursday morning at 11am in the University Church. Our very own campus Chaplain, Pastor Sam Leonor, will be bringing us the message with Mob Praise leading out in worship.

This week is another fine breakout worship week. As you all know we try to keep worship a pleasure and not a chore. Breakout worships help by breaking up your busy schedule and allowing you to spend some time away from your studies and get in some personal time. Spiritual Emphasis Week Feburary 4-9, 2008

Spiritual Emphasis Week is February 4-9, here at LSU. This is a week where La Sierra University comes together to worship in community daily rather than just once during the week. Corporate Worship services will take place at 11AM on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday February 5th thru the 7th.

At this week's worship, we're having Compassion International come and Zoro the Drummer will be speaking. Zoro is an internationally acclaimed super-rock-star drummer who's recorded with a number of artists including Lenny Kravitz. On October 25th we have guest speaker, Roy Ice, chaplain of our sister-school Pacific Union College, on campus to speak to us at University Worship. Pastor Ice has been a teacher and a pastor for more than fifteen years. Read more about him here.

Spiritual Emphasis Week October 9-11

Tuesday, October 9, will mark the start of Spiritual Emphasis Week at La Sierra University. Students are to report to the La Sierra University Church at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. That would be October 9, 10, and 11. Please arrive on time as we have invited a special guest to speak. Our guest speaker will be Ron Pollard. Read on to learn more about our speaker.

Ron Pollard, native of New Orleans, Louisianna, is currently the pastor for the Philadelphian SDA church in Long Beach, Ca. as well as the Youth Coordinator of the Greater Los Angeles Region Youth Department. His fervent desire is to be a flesh-and- blood model demonstrating that “with Christ our future is brighter than out past.” Pollard is married to Lindsey and they have two children, Cidny and Cerron.

University Worship Breakouts, October 4, 2007

Tomorrow is Thursday and it is time for this quarters first Breakout worship service. Freshman have the pleasure of meeting in the university church, and the rest of the student body need to report to their chosen breakout session. There are many options to choose from so be sure to sign up to a Breakout session just as if it was a class. See you there!

Hey hey hey! It's back to school time and we are glad to see all the shining and smiling faces around campus again. Let us start by saying thank you for checking out our new site. We have lots of information for you to check out so take a look around the site and see if anything catches your eye. Be sure to check out all the different outreach programs offered by Spiritual Life at La Sierra University (LSUSL).
